Registration information

  1. If you choose to practice your non HPCAA profession under Maori jurisdiction you can register with the WHC. There is NO requirement to be enroled with any other organisation as the Wakaminenga Hauora is an independant Health Authority endorsed by the National Wakaminenga - Confederation of United Tribes of Aotearoa.
  2.  You can then begin the registration process. If you have a current APC (Annual Practicing Certificate) you can register using the Fast Track Process (see FAQ section for more information).
  3. Please take the time to READ the information carefully and follow the instructions.
  4. Documents should be sent in PDF format except for the photograph. Smart phone photos of documents are not desirable. We reserve the right to refuse an application if the documents provided are not clear and presented in a professional manner.
  5. The Fast Track process is only available for those who have a current APC (annual practicing certificate). If you do not know what an APC is then you do not have one. All other applicants must apply under the normal registration process. The application fee is           $ 150.00 NZD and is non-refundable. Additional fees for registration and APC issuance will have to be paid and will vary according to the profession you are applying for. This information is provided during the WHC Registration.

NB: Registration with the WHC is only available to qualified health professionals  of non HPCAA professions who wish to practice under Maori jurisdiction.
